Frequently asked questions

Short answers to what people ask before they start.

What does an SMS cost?

An SMS to a Danish number costs 35,9 øre ex VAT (44,9 øre incl. 25 % VAT) per message part. Other countries have their own price — see the full list on the pricing page.

Is there a subscription or a minimum?

No. Creating an account is free, there is no monthly fee and no minimum volume. You top up your balance and pay only for what you send.

Can my company name be the sender?

Yes. Add a sender name of up to 11 characters in the portal and use it at once. Danish numbers need no registration. Names that resemble banks or authorities are checked by us first.

Can recipients reply?

Not to a text name — that is how SMS works. For replies, rent your own Danish number or a keyword on 1204 in the portal; answers arrive in your inbox, through the API and on your webhook.

How fast are messages delivered?

Usually within seconds. One-time codes are sent ahead of campaign traffic, and you can follow the status of every message in the portal or by webhook.

Do you have an API?

Yes, a REST API with JSON, webhooks and idempotency keys. You create keys in the portal, one per project if you like, each with its own sender name and limits.

Where is the data stored, and what about GDPR?

On servers in the EU. A data processing agreement is part of the terms, and you can set message text to be deleted automatically after a period you choose.

How do I pay?

Top up by card in the portal from 25 DKK; the receipt and VAT appear in your billing. Businesses with larger volumes can get a monthly invoice by agreement.

How long can a message be?

160 characters per part; longer messages are split into parts of 153 and billed per part. Danish æ, ø and å are normal characters. Emoji and non-Latin letters are converted to plain characters so the text stays readable and cheap.

What happens when someone writes STOP?

The number is put on your opt-out list automatically, and later messages from your account to that number are skipped — the law requires it for marketing, and we do it for you.

Which countries can I send to?

222 countries, with Denmark and the rest of Europe as the main focus. The pricing page lists every destination and its price.

How do I get started?

Create an account, confirm your e-mail, add a sender name and top up. You can send your first message from the portal within minutes.
